Lad Named Felix™ is handmade jewelry inspired by the mundane, by found objects, steampunk and neo-Victorian aesthetic, technicolor shiny bits, vintage curios, precious and semi-precious gemstones and metals, and whatever else lying about that might catch the Lad’s discerning (if somewhat meteoric) attention. Sarcasm, anarchy, and a sharp wit might also play a part. Lad Named Felix seeks to be uncommon, eccentric, and yes, a little bit sparkly.
I’m something of a smart-mouthed, flashy-trashy Chicagoan creative type with lots of aces up my sleeves and a lot of irons in the fire. A professional makeup artist, jewelry designer, a gamer, a writer, photography enthusiast, and a reluctant-though-damn-good karaoke singer, I have big crazy dreams of seeing my work appreciated by those of like mind, spirit, and style. I believe in self-expression wherever necessary, and hope the pieces I create inspire the same. I change my mind constantly, and have the attention span of a ferret – a personality trait I believe shows through in the design and variety of my pieces.
